Camping available alongside the Venue

Be a part of the Festival action and camp right on site at the Melrose Showgrounds.

Situated two kilometres north of the township, the Melrose Showgrounds Concert Venue also offers over 50 acres of shady camp ground in a natural bush setting.

For those who want to enjoy Melrose’s hospitality a little longer, extra nights are available.

Festival Campground Information

GENERAL: A safe and secure Festival environment is the priority of Festival Organisers and venue management reserves the right of admission.

RESPECT: Please respect the rights of other campers at all times.

TOILETS: Toilet blocks are located around the grounds.

SHOWERS: A shower truck is brought on-site for the festival.

POWER: Powered sites are NOT avaliable during Remarkable Festival events. Campers are welcome to bring generators if required.

DUMP POINT: A grey water dump point is located on-site

COST: A Saturday night concert ticket includes Saturday night camping. A Weekend Pass entitles you to Friday and Saturday night camping.

BOOKINGS:   With over 50 acres of campground, camp sites are not allocated by numbered sites. Signs are erected on the grounds to guide you to the camping areas. If you are travelling with friends arriving at a different time, just save some space next to you so they can pull in.

SHUTTLE BUS: A shuttle bus operates between Melrose and the Showgrounds on Friday night and Saturday. The bus is free for Weekend Pass holders, and a gold coin donation for Saturday pass holders.

DRY ZONE: Remarkable Festivals are committed to ensuring the safety of patrons. For this reason, the Festival Campground and Day Parking area becomes a dry zone from 12 noon on Saturday, 16 April 2011 to 12 noon on Sunday, 17 April 2011.

SECURITY: The Festival Campground is patrolled by security officers throughout the Festival.

ROAD RULES: All South Australian road rules apply at the Melrose Showgrounds at ALL times.

CAMP FIRES: Campfires are permitted at the showgrounds, providing a TOTAL FIRE BAN has NOT been issued for the Flinders District. Some firewood is available locally; however, you are advised to bring your own firewood if you wish to have a campfire.

EXCLUSIONS: You cannot bring the following items into the Showgrounds: animals (except when permission from Remarkable Festivals or when using official guide dogs), illegal substances or any items which the organisers consider dangerous or inappropriate.

Should you wish to stay longer, or if you wish to return to camp another time, the Melrose Showgrounds has very reasonable camping rates all year round. At these time, powered sites are avaliable, but we stress that during Remarkable Festivals events, powered sites are NOT avaliable.
