Festival Info (FAQ)

FESTIVAL OFFICE: Main Street of Melrose opposite the Mount Remarkable Hotel.  Open Thursday, 14 April 2011 – 9am to 5pm and Friday, 15 April 2011 – 9am to 9pm.

WRISTBANDS: Persons cannot enter the entertainment arena without a wristband.  Tickets can be exchanged for wristbands at the entrance to the Showgrounds on Friday, 15 April and Saturday, 16 April 2011.  Alternatively, tickets can be exchanged at the Event Office in the main street of Melrose on Thursday, 14 April and Friday, 15 April 2011.

Under no circumstances will anyone be allowed into the Showgrounds on Friday, 15 April and/or Saturday, 16 April 2011 without a ticket or wristband.

TOKENS: Remarkable Festival events operate using a token system to purchase all food and drinks withing the event arena. $2 tokens can be purchased from token offices within the venue.  Unspent tokens are not refundable.

FACILITIES: EFTPOS facilities are not abaliable at the venue.
ATM machines are available at the North Star Hotel, Mount Remarkable Hotel and Melrose General Store.

SEATING: Seating is not supplied within the Entertainment Arena. You are welcome to bring your own fold up chairs. Please be aware that the artists and their management have requested a designated “standing only” area immediately in front of the stage.

ALCOHOL: Full bar facilities are available within the venue from 12 midday on Saturday.  An 18 and over wristband must be secured to the right wrist for purchase and consumption of alcohol within the licensed area.

You are NOT permitted to bring glass or alcohol into the Entertainment Arena or Day Parking area. Licensed Security will strictly enforce these restrictions.

CATERING: A variety of food and drinks are avaliable within the concert venue. There is strictly NO BYO into the concert venue.

PARKING: To ensure your safety  and the safety of others, please follow the signs and directions of the organisers as you enter and exit the Showgrounds.

FESTIVAL RAFFLE: A host of great prizes.  Tickets available from the Event Office and the Token Offices.  Drawn on the main stage on Saturday night.

MERCHANDISE: A variety of Festival merchandise is avaialable from the Event Office and the Token Offices.
