Driving

If you're making your own way to Melrose, we're centrally located in the Southern Flinders Ranges.

From Adelaide:
Melrose is located 270km from Adelaide. You have two scenic options if driving from metropolitan Adelaide...

... travel via the Clare Valley and the Main North Road towns of Gladstone, Laura, Stone Hut and Wirrabara. Take your time and enjoy wine and cider tastings, a myriad of galleries and antique shops, the stunning Wirrabara and Bundaleer Forests and the award winning Old Bakery at Stone Hut.

...or travel with the recreational waters of Spencer Gulf and the thriving town of Port Pirie on your left as you follow Highway One to the Port Germein Gorge, a magnificent illustration of the power of nature.

The combination of a Mediterranean climate and wide range of attractions make the region an ideal place to visit and enjoy.

Bus transfers

Gulf Getaways are offering bus transport to the Rock the Mount Concert at Melrose Showgrounds on Saturday 18 April. Departing Port Augusta at 2pm and returning at midnight. Their buses are fully licensed for alcohol consumption and a special esky trailer will keep your drinks chilled for the return journey home.
